What is a Coal Seam Gas Lease?

A COAL SEAM GAS LEASE is simply a lease that allows Argos Exploration, LLC, its successors and assigns, the ability to explore for, extract and produce Coal Bed Methane from any seam of coal which may be located under a leased property. The primary energy source of natural gas is a substance called methane (CH4). Coal bed methane, otherwise known as CBM, is methane found in coal seams. Although CBM is sold and used the same as traditional natural gas. the extraction process is vastly different from that of a normal natural gas well.CBM is generated either from a biological process as a result of microbial action or from a thermal process as a result of increasing heat with depth of the coal. Often a coal seam may become saturated with water from a nearby water table - the water acts as a trap and holds the methane in the coal by water pressure. Currently, natural gas from coal beds accounts for only 8% of total natural gas production in the United States.

What is a Coal Seam Gas Lease OPTION?

Currently, the traditional Oil & Gas leases are what the larger energy development companies are seeking and producing. Interest in Coal Bed Methane or Coal Seam Gas is, for the most part, being overlooked in favor of the more profitable traditional Oil & Natural Gas prospects. Argos Exploration, LLC. is securing OPTIONS to exercise a Coal Seam Gas Lease. These Options give us the ability to find an appropriate buyer for the leases and in turn allow us to provide the land or mineral rights owner the best price per-acre for their participation in the leasing program. Argos Exploration, LLC is currently conducting Coal Bed Methane/Coal Seam Gas lease options in Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Virginia. If you would like more information in how an OPTION could bring you a higher price for your Coal Seam Gas/Coal Bed Methane, please contact Argos Exploration, LLC. at 1-877-71-ARGOS (877-712-7467).
